QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BILL
What billing or insurance information will I receive?
You will receive a copy of your bill. After your insurance has paid, we’ll provide you with a monthly statement of your account.
How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?
Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.
Why am I getting bills from laboratories?
Each laboratory who provides professional services will send you a separate bill. This is common if we order bloodwork or take a biopsy. We will do our best to work with your insurance carrier to coordinate your laboratory services with an in-network, contracted provider. Please tell your provider at the time of your visit if your would like for your orders to go to a particular laboratory. Please direct any questions that you have regarding your laboratory bill to the laboratory.
I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill — but I can’t understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?
Dial the main line at 904-387-4991 and ask to speak to the billing department. As a general rule, it is wise to contact your insurance carrier before your visit to review any questions regarding coverage and to prepare for any applicable deductible, copayment, or coinsurance.
